Although I have built my home and career in Germany since 1985, my connection to my roots and particularly Sydney, has always remained strong. Each year I return to Sydney to reconnect with family and friends and to walk the Streets Of Sydney, a place that remains in my heart.

My song Streets of Sydney is a declaration of love for my hometown and at the same time a personal dedication to my first teenage love. The lyrics are very personal but I'm sure that many Sydneysiders will relate to my sentiments and recognise places that also mean something special to me. To quote the lyrics - from Taverner's Hill down to the Gardens – these are places I walked with my Nanna and it was difficult to omit a host of other places that were meaningful to me.
We'll have to wait for the longer album version, I guess.

We roamed those ancient streets of Sydney
back when dreams were just a penny or two
